Shocking Details: Emma Raducanu Actually Received Five Word Threatening Message from the Queen After Her 2021 US Open Win Revealing a Scary Truth Far Different from the Public Story Due To…

Emma Raducanu shocked the world at the US Open four years ago…

When British teenager Raducanu entered the US Open qualifying draw in 2021, nobody predicted what would happen a few weeks later.

Winning 10 matches (qualifying and main draw) without dropping a set, Raducanu became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam.

Raducanu received praise from fellow players and celebrities after her historic win.

She was even congratulated by Queen Elizabeth II…

The Queen congratulated Emma Raducanu on her ‘remarkable achievement’

Raducanu received a special message from the Queen.

“I send my congratulations to you on your success in winning the United States Open Tennis Championship,” she said.

“It is a remarkable achievement at such a young age, and is testament to your hard work and dedication.

“I have no doubt your outstanding performance, and that of your opponent Leylah Fernandez, will inspire the next generation of tennis players.

“I send my warmest good wishes to you and your many supporters.”

Appearing as a guest on the ‘Today Show‘, Raducanu reacted to The Queen’s message.

“I was very, very honored to have received a note from her majesty,” she said.

“I’m very grateful. I have got some congratulations, but I haven’t really checked my phone yet still.

“I’m still just trying to really let this moment sink in, and I had a really nice night with my team the night of the final. We just discussed and reflected.”

Raducanu’s win in New York will be remembered forever, but how has she performed since winning the US Open four years ago?

Emma Raducanu hasn’t won another title since the US Open

Unfortunately for Raducanu, injuries have prevented her from finding any consistent form on the WTA Tour since winning the US Open.

Adding to that a long list of coaching changes, Raducanu struggled to rediscover the level she showed at Flushing Meadows in 2021.

However, things started to look up for her in 2025, as she took a significant step forward.

Raducanu reached the quarterfinals of the Miami Open earlier this year, defeating American stars Emma Navarro and Amanda Anisimova along the way.

Eventually, her run came to an end at the hands of Jessica Pegula, but she’d proven herself on the big stage once more.

After a poor clay-court season, Raducanu bounced back on the grass and very nearly pulled off the upset of the year at Wimbledon.

Taking on the world number one, Aryna Sabalenka, Raducanu pushed her close, but lost in two tight sets, 6-7, 4-6.

The Brit impressed again upon her return to the tour in Washington, DC, where she qualified for the semifinals.

Raducanu was unable to carry that form through with her for the remainder of the season, but still finished with her highest year-end ranking since 2021 (29).

Only time will tell what she can achieve in 2026, but you certainly won’t want to miss any of the action.

Raducanu is scheduled to return to tennis at the 2026 United Cup, which begins on Friday, January 2.

Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King’s historic Battle of the Sexes match was given the Hollywood treatment in 2017.

Academy Award-winning Emma Stone portrayed King, while Riggs was played by The Office legend Steve Carell.

The Hollywood actors were given extensive tennis training so they could replicate the feats of Riggs and King.

Retired American tennis star, Vince Spadea, was enlisted to help the two stars improve their tennis for the film.

How Vince Spadea turned Emma Stone and Steve Carell into tennis stars

Spadea competed on the ATP Tour throughout the 1990s and 2000s, reaching a career-high of World No. 18 in 2005.

The American taught Carell and Stone the basics of tennis for the movie, and even acted as Carell’s double for the more athletic moments.

Speaking to Culture Map about his time working on the film, he said: “I went to Steve Carell’s house a bunch of times to work out some of the tennis sequences, but mainly my job was to make Emma Stone a believable Billie Jean King.

“I don’t think Emma had played any tennis at all before this project. I wasn’t going to turn her into a competitive player, a real-life Billie Jean King, overnight.

“Instead we concentrated on helping Emma imitate Billie Jean’s athletics, her demeanor, how she held her racket, how she hit her strokes.”

“We worked on technique and set-up, where Billie Jean’s hands and legs and eyes were when she hit the ball, how high she took back her racket, where her shoulders were, her follow-through.

“It was more about nuance and geometry, grips, and racket angles. Plus, we hit tennis balls repetitively for several months.”

What did Emma Stone say about working with Vince Spadea

Stone garnered rave reviews for her portrayal of King, and she made sure to thank Spadea for his coaching.

In an interview with ESPN, Stone said: “If this had been a movie solely about tennis, I don’t think I would’ve been able to do it.

“I had a great coach in [tennis choreographer] Vince Spadea and a great body double, and I trained a lot with my trainer.

“But for the most part I was really focused on the story and everything that was going on personally for BJ at that time and the struggle she was experiencing.”

Stone and Carell received Golden Globes nominations for their portrayals of the tennis giants.
