Watch: After Threatening her Taylor Fritz gets lifted and slapped at Tokyo’s muscle girl bar and he was terribly criticized due to…
Taylor Fritz wrapped up the 2025 season as world no. 6, collecting over 50 ATP wins and lifting two ATP trophies. Following grueling duties on and off the court, the American allowed himself to breathe.
While many of his top-10 peers scattered to the Maldives for sun-washed rest, the California native chose a very different escape. With girlfriend Morgan Riddle and a tight-knit of friends, Taylor returned to Tokyo.
Fritz conquered the Japanese capital in 2022, lifting a trophy and falling in love with the vibrant city and its rich culture and diversity at every corner. Now, he returns and brings relaxed off-season vibes.
The trip started with a hiccup. Morgan battled a rough case of food poisoning shortly after landing. That setback confined the group to their Four Seasons suite for the first couple of days.
Once she recovered, Tokyo quickly became their playground to explore. Senso-ji Temple, Goju-no-to pagoda and other places provided the kind of reset no island resort could match.
In a viral moment that amused fellow tennis stars and fans, Riddle surprised Fritz by taking him to a “muscle girl” bar. The social media posts show a visibly amused Taylor being playfully lifted and “slapped” by a muscular bartender.

World no. 6 dissolved into laughter, instantly becoming the most unexpected viral clip of the off-season. While the rest of the elite posted calm resort sunsets, Taylor found joy and a little friendly humiliation in Tokyo’s wildest corners.
It’s safe to say he enjoyed every moment of it! Fritz will kick off the new season at the United Cup, hoping to chase the title defense alongside Coco Gauff. Taylor missed the year-end top-5 finish, but he will chase it again in the season ahead of us if he provides his best tennis.
