Here’s The Troubling Truth He’s Desperately Trying to Hide as DISASTER Strikes for Felix Amidst Controversies Due To…
Auger-Aliassime, who is making his second appearance at the year-end event, looked to be hampered by a calf injury during the second half of his 7-5, 6-1 loss to Jannik Sinner. The issue concerned his left calf, which he received treatment for twice during the second set. It is the latest physical issue to trouble the 25-year-old, who also retired from a match at the Swiss Indoors last month due to a lower back injury.
Despite the concerns, Auger-Aliassime is confident he will be able to continue his campaign in Turin with matches against Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton later this week. He has won one match at the ATP Finals in his career, which was on his debut in 2022 against Rafael Nadal.
“No, not dangerous. I’m not too concerned. He’s an amazing player. You have to give credit when the guy is just better than you,” Auger-Aliassime said about his calf problem. “He was better than me. I’ll get ready for the next one.”
Still in contention of qualifying for the semi-finals, Auger-Aliassime insists that he has no fear about who he plays on the Tour. Since January, he has faced 11 top-10 players and won five of those meetings.
“I’ve never been [afraid] because we’re not going to war,” Auger-Aliassime replied when asked about his mentality when facing Sinner. “I do put in my mind that it’s a battle, a tennis battle. I’m very focused, very driven.
“[I’ve] never been afraid of a tennis match. [You’re] more focused when you play at this level, everything needs to be very disciplined and very precise from the first moments.”
Auger-Aliassime is aiming to become the first Canadian to reach the title match at the ATP Finals. This season, he has won three titles in Adelaide, Montpellier and Brussels. His win-loss record for 2025 currently stands at 48-23.
