Format
The Grand Slam of Darts is a 32-player tournament, with various qualification routes to get there.
The seeded players consist of the top-8 players, who each are assigned to a separate group, and then have three additional players assigned to their group in the event’s draw.
The first four days of the tournament (Nov. 8 – 11) will be purely group stage games, as each player will play the other three players in their group. These games will be played to best-of-9 legs.
If two players are tied in a group, the tiebreaker is determined based on leg difference in the tournament and then who won the match between the two players.
If there were to be a three-player tie, it would be determined by leg difference and then legs won, legs won against throw, tournament average and lastly a nine-dart shootout.
Players who place top-2 in their group will advance to the knockout stage which will begin on Nov. 12. The first round of the knockout stage is played to best-of-19 legs.
The final three rounds (quarterfinals, semifinals & final) of the tournament will take place from Nov. 14 – 16 and will all be played to best-of-31 legs.
